Fonte De Ferro; translated to Source of Iron is given its name due to the naturally iron rich Roman fountain at the homestead. The Retreat & homestead has been created within 2.5 acres of vibrant natural landscape after it's owners, Scott & Driss decided to escape the 'rat race' & 'City life' & embark on a more meaningful & sustainable way of living. Their premise was to be off-grid, sustainable & to share their lifestyle with others with the hope that it may help others on their own personal journey.
Fonte De Ferro is about harmony, personal well-being & connecting with nature, whilst having fun & a zest for life. This Central Portugal location is surrounded by lush natural waterways & river beaches, history, myth & legend - which simply adds to the magic!
